This policy explains what personal data Printin3D India ("we", "us") collects when you use printin3dindia.com and order 3D prints from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it. For your personal data, we are the Data Fiduciary.
What we collect
When you browse our website, we automatically collect device information: your browser type, IP address, approximate location, time zone, cookie identifiers, the pages you view, the website or search that brought you here, and how you use the site.
When you request a quote or place an order, we collect the information you enter: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, the 3D files you upload, and your order choices such as material, colour and quantity.
When you pay, your card, UPI or bank details go directly to our payment gateway. We receive only a confirmation of the payment and limited details such as the payment method and transaction reference. We never see or store your full card number.
When you email us, we keep your email address and the content of your messages.
How we use your data
- To calculate your quote, print your order and deliver it
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates and invoices
- To answer your questions and handle complaints, returns and refunds
- To keep our website working, secure and free from abuse
- To understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We use your data only for these purposes and only as much as they need. You can browse the website without telling us who you are. To place an order we need your name, delivery address and contact details; without them we can't deliver.
We use your uploaded 3D files only to quote and print your order. We never share, sell or reuse your designs.
Consent and legal basis
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you submit a quote or order, or contact us. We also process data where the DPDP Act allows it without separate consent, for example to fulfil the order you asked for or to comply with the law. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened, but we may then be unable to complete an order.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies, small files stored in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic, page visits, time on site and how visitors move around the site. Google Analytics may collect device and browser details, approximate location and interaction data using cookies or similar identifiers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics. The website will still work.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business. They process it on our behalf and only for these purposes:
- Printin3D (Ireland), our technology partner, which runs our online quote tool, checkout and order system
- Our payment gateway, to process your payment securely
- Courier partners, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel
- Google, for website analytics
- Hostinger, which hosts our website and email
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
Transfers outside India
Our quote and order system is run by our partner in Ireland, so your order details and uploaded files are stored on servers outside India, in the European Union. Some service providers, such as Google, may also process data in other countries, including the United States. These transfers are permitted under the DPDP Act, and our partners must protect your data to at least the standard described in this policy. Our partner in Ireland is also bound by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How long we keep your data
We keep your order details for as long as needed to complete the order, handle any return or complaint, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep uploaded 3D files only while they are needed for your order, and delete them sooner if you ask. Website analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect your data
Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Order data is stored on secure servers with access limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards against unauthorised access, use or disclosure. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but if a personal data breach happens, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Get information about the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier
- Have your complaint resolved by our Grievance Officer
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity
To use any of these rights, email us from the address you used for your order. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
Our service is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children without a parent's or guardian's consent.
When we must disclose data
We may disclose personal data if the law requires it or allows it, for example to comply with a court order or a lawful request from a government authority, to investigate fraud, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
